5 weeks until overseed…

I can’t believe we’re just 5 weeks out from overseed! Another summer flown by, but with overseed comes cooler temps and the return of our seasonal Terravita family! We’ve missed you!

This week, we have begun some growth regulation applications to the fairways and rough. These applications will slow the bermudagrass growth down, promoting better quality of cut and to minimize it’s competition with the rye grass, come overseed. A draw back of these applications is a slight loss of color, so you may notice the fairways and rough lose some of the luster they’ve had throughout the summer.

We always joke that just when things start getting really good, we blow it all up in preparation of overseed! Until then, below are some photos we took of the golf course this past weekend. Our Terravita Maintenance Team has a lot to be proud of!
