I hope everyone had a family filled and relaxing holiday season! As we enter the new year, I'd like to touch base on divot sand. During the height of the Covid restrictions, we removed divot bottles and sand from the on course divot stations. At that time the membership was not expected to fill divots. We did had some enthusiastic members, who wanted to continue to do their part, and would fill their personal sand bottles down at the maintenance yard. Now that we have replaced bottles and divot sand at the divot stations on the course, we ask that all members use that sand for their divot bottles and refrain from coming down to the maintenance yard. Some reasons for this include:
Recently, to no fault of their own, some members have grabbed the wrong sand down at maintenance. There are divots currently being filled with white bunker sand, instead of the standard divot sand.
The maintenance yard is not the safest spot to have heavy traffic, so we would like to keep member traffic to a minimum.
