Despite another heat record breaking summer, and suboptimal monsoons, our turf conditions continue to improve daily. And while the weather hasn’t entirely been in our favor, the rainfall that we have had has been excellently timed with our irrigation cycles to optimize our water usage efficiency. 1/2 inch of rain can replace roughly 1,000,000 gallons of irrigation water, depending on the speed in which it falls. Fortunately almost of our precipitation this summer has been slow steady and has been able to replace a full nights irrigation, occasionally 2, and has caused minimal damage. A win-win!
We’re getting close to cooler weather, overseed, and an exciting 2024-25 season! Until then, stay cool!!!
