August Week 2

We made great progress with our fairway aerification today. Holes 1-5 are now complete. With golfers starting on the back nine tomorrow, we expect to finish holes 6-9 and make a good dent in the back nine during the afternoon when play is lighter. We anticipate completing the entire process by the end of the week.

We are also beginning the remainder of this year's cart path repair work this week. Cart Path Repair Schedule, barring any unforeseen issues, is as follows:

Tuesday 8/12

• 10:00 AM - Demo and form sections on Holes 3, 5, and 7

Wednesday 8/13

• 6:00 AM - Pour sections on Holes 3, 5, and 7

• 12:00 PM - Demo and form sections on Holes 9, 18, 17, and the Practice Putting Green

Thursday 8/14

• 6:00 AM - Pour sections on Holes 9, 18, 17, and the Practice Putting Green

• 12:00 PM - Demo and form sections on Holes 11, 12, and 13

Friday 8/15

• 6:00 AM - Pour sections on Holes 11, 12, and 13

Monday 8/18

• 12:00 PM - Demo and form sections on Holes 14 and 15

Tuesday 8/19

• 6:00 AM - Pour sections on Holes 14 and 15

During this work, we will be coning off certain areas and providing alternative detour routes for golfers. Thank you for bearing with us during this time of disruption.

Lastly, below are a few photographs showing a three-week progression through summer transition. The first set of photos was taken just three weeks ago, and the most recent set was taken this past Friday. The comparison shows just how quickly bermudagrass moves laterally, and it’s encouraging to see the growth we expect will continue between now and overseeding in October.
