As we move closer to summer, we’re starting to see encouraging growth and consistency across the greens. While the recent stretch of cooler-than-normal temperatures has slowed the transition out of dormancy, our team has stayed proactive—adjusting our approach and utilizing additional resources to keep things moving in the right direction. It’s been rewarding to see that work begin to pay off.
This past weekend brought a welcome wave of positive feedback from many of you, which we truly appreciate. Your observations help us stay aligned with how the course is performing from a player’s perspective.
We also had the opportunity to host the AGA Four-Ball event, and we’re proud to share that the course held up well under competitive conditions. In fact, the course record was broken not once, but twice—a fun bit of history that speaks to both strong play and solid conditions.
Looking ahead, as temperatures begin to rise in the coming weeks, we’ll resume topdressing and begin introducing light verticutting to help fine-tune surface smoothness and trueness. We’re also beginning preparations for our upcoming hollow tine aerification, currently scheduled for early June—weather and temperatures permitting.
As we move into the summer months, we’ll be taking full advantage of the offseason window to invest in the long-term health of our greens. This includes key agronomic practices that set us up for success heading into fall and help prepare the surfaces for overseeding in a way that minimizes disruption to the underlying Bermudagrass.
As always, thank you for your continued support, feedback, and patience as we work to deliver the best possible playing conditions through this transitional period, into the summer, and the following season! We still have some way to go, but are very encouraged with the direction we're headed.
