Summer Bunker Maintenance

As we settle into the summer, we’ve officially begun our annual bunker sand depth maintenance. While we check sand depths weekly throughout the year, we typically hold off on adding fresh sand until summer, when we have more access to the course and can efficiently work through each area.

Last week, we added approximately 15 tons of sand to several bunkers, starting with:

  • The greenside bunker on Hole 8, 14, and 16

  • The practice bunker at the south chipping green

We expect to add another 50+ tons over the coming weeks as we make our way through more bunkers.

You may notice that bunkers which have recently received new sand will play softer than others. This is temporary—over time, as the sand settles, they’ll become more consistent with the rest of the course. By late summer and into next season, playing conditions will be uniform across all bunkers.

We appreciate your patience during this process, and as always, thank you for your support as we work to keep the course in top shape.
